About Cinema Motion

Cinema Motion — Cinema Motion is a workspace for AI video generation. Here, you can animate an AI avatar, bring an image from Picture Lab to life, or simply create a scene from a text description.

We support diverse video engines, each optimized for different needs — from close-up character animation to wide shots, or from hyperrealism to artistic styles.

How It works

  1. Select a generation model  — Runway, Hailuo, Ray 2, and others.
  2. Create video base:
    • Use an image from Picture Lab.
    • Upload your own image.
    • Or provide a text description.
  3. Add a text prompt — Describe what should happen in the video.
  4. Adjust settings — Set the video duration, camera movement, and video format.
  5. Click Generate — Your video will appear in History and My Assets within 30-90 seconds.

Model Comparison

Ray 2Cinematic/fantasy scenesHandles large-scale scenes and overall composition very well

Video Generation Workflow

  1. Choose Your Generation Model — Select a model, such as Runway, Hailuo, Ray 2, or others, based on your goal.
  2. Establish Your Scene:
    • Use an image from Picture Lab.
    • Upload your own image.
    • Or start from scratch with a text description.
  3. Write Your Prompt — Describe the action, atmosphere, and details you want in your video.
  4. Adjust the settings:
    • Set the video duration — 5 or 10 seconds.
    • Choose camera movement — zoom, pan, rotate, etc.
    • Explore other model-specific options.
  5. Click Generate — Your video will appear in History and My Assets within 30-90 seconds.

Getting Started

For Beginners

  • Start with Hailuo — It’s fast, reliable, and great for general motion scenes.
  • Create an image in Picture Lab — it will automatically appear in the Starter Shot setting within Cinema Motion. Select it as the base for your video, then add a text prompt to define the actions, atmosphere, or mood of the scene.
  • Keep prompts simple:
  • man smiling at sunset; woman in a business suit walking through an office.
  • Begin with basic settings:
    • Duration: 5 seconds.
    • Camera: simple movement (e.g., “smooth zoom”).

For Experienced Users

  • Choose models based on your goals — For example, Runway is ideal for realistic portraits and facial expressions, while Ray 2 excels at emotional or stylized scenes. Try the same prompt with different models to find the best option for your specific scenario.
  • Combine Starter Shots and text prompts for precision.
  • Utilize advanced camera movements — pans, rotations, first-person perspectives, or zooms – to enhance dynamics, convey character’s mood, or create a sense of presence. These movements work particularly well in short videos with a single focus (a face, an action, an object).

Best Practices

  1. Generate short clips (2–6 seconds) — it’s easier to manage the dynamics and achieve the desired effect.
  2. For basic animation (camera movements, simple actions), use Runway — it’s stable and predictable.
  3. Seedance and Veo3 are better at interpreting text descriptions and delivering the most realistic results.
  4. Refine the atmosphere: add details to your prompt, like evening, fog, or cinematic lighting — it makes the scene more expressive.
  5. Check the final video for “muddiness”  — if the image is blurry or loses detail, try changing the style or regenerating.

Use Cases

  1. Cinematic Interludes — Short cutscenes for storytelling or video clips.
  2. Motion Intros and Outros — Animated intros and outros for videos.
  3. Character Teasers — Simple character animation for presentations or promos.
  4. Promotional Teasers — Short motion videos for promotion and announcements.
  5. Art Narratives — Visual stories in a short video format.
