About Upscale
Upscale is a tool in the My Assets section that allows you to increase an image’s resolution and improve its clarity. It’s useful if you need to use an image in a larger format or make it more detailed before animating it, adding voiceovers, or publishing it.
How It Works
- Go to My Assets.
Find the image you want in your library or upload a new one using the Upload button (upper-right corner). - Open the Image.
Click the image to open it in preview mode. Tool buttons will appear on the right. - Click Upscale.
The button is located in the right-hand toolbar. Hovering over it displays a warning:
“Upscale can change facial features. Use only if detail is important, not identity.”
This means that increasing the resolution can slightly alter faces, so it’s not recommended to use Upscale for images where it’s important to preserve the subject’s exact likeness (e.g., AI avatars). - Done!
In a few seconds, a new version of the image with increased resolution will appear next to the original. The file is saved in My Assets with the new size indicated.

Best Practices
- Use Upscale if you plan to print the image, display it in high resolution, or use it in a close-up.
- Don’t use Upscale for close-up portraits if accurate facial feature representation is important — it can slightly distort them.
- For the best results, choose images that are of good quality to begin with — without noise, filters, or distortions.
- Avoid upscaling low-quality images — the defects will only be worse.
- The optimal scaling factor is up to 2–4×; higher values may introduce artifacts.
