How to Use Image Apps

Not every image needs a full generation workflow. Workroom Apps are built around one specific task each: you add the inputs the app asks for and generate the result. This lesson walks through the image apps, from building a character sheet to changing a camera angle.

What you'll learn

  • How an app differs from a full generation in Picture Lab
  • Which inputs each image app needs, and which ones are optional
  • Which app to open for character sheets, cutouts, face swaps, color and resolution
  • How to move the camera around a subject with the Camera Angle Editor

One app, one task

Each app is built around a single job. Instead of choosing a model and writing a detailed prompt, you fill in the steps on the right panel. Each step is marked Required or Optional. Then you click Generate. All apps live under Apps in the sidebar.

Character Card

Upload an Appearance Photo. It's the only required input. The app builds a character sheet with different angles, expressions and poses. Add up to two more appearance photos for extra visual reference, and an optional Clothing Reference to steer what the character wears.

One clear photo with the face and body visible is enough to start. The optional steps lock in details the first photo doesn't show.

Stock Image Generator

Stock Image Generator will be available in your Workroom account soon. The steps below show how the new version works.

Start with an image, and add a prompt if you want to give the generation more direction. The image is required, the prompt is optional. Generate, and the app builds a new stock-style image from those inputs.

Background Remover

Upload an image and click Generate. You get a transparent PNG with the background removed. There's nothing else to set.

Image Face Swap

This one needs two images, and both are required. The Source Image provides the face you want to use. The Target Image is the photo you want to change. Generate, and the face from the source is transferred onto the target.

Color Grading

Upload the image you want to recolor, then add a Reference Image. The colors of the reference are transferred to your image, so you can give one shot the look of another without adjusting it by hand.

Image Upscaler

Upload an image and generate. You get a sharper, higher-resolution version of the same image. The subject and composition stay the same; only the quality changes.

Camera Angle Editor

Choose an image, then drag the point on the Rotate View sphere to move the virtual camera around the subject. Generate, and the app recreates the shot from that new angle.

Camera Angle Editor also opens straight from Picture Lab: hover over a generated image and pick Edit Camera Angle.
