Stock Image Generator is Workroom's AI app for stock photography. You describe the shot, optionally add a reference image, and generate. The result reads like commercial stock: believable people, honest light, and no brand marks or readable text to crop out later.

Open Stock Image Generator

Open Apps from the sidebar and pick Stock Image Generator. The app opens with a prompt field and an area for optional reference images.

Describe the image you need

Write what the shot should show in plain language — the subject, where they are, and what they're doing. "A woman working at a bright kitchen counter" is the right amount of input.

You don't need to add the usual stock vocabulary. A prompt enhancer expands your description into a full shot brief — angle, light, depth of field, room for a headline — before anything is generated, so phrases like "stock photo, clean background, soft lighting" are unnecessary.

Describe the situation, not the photograph. The app handles the photographic direction; your job is the scene.

Add references, if you have them

References are optional. Skip this step entirely and the prompt alone is enough.

If you already have a picture whose mood, palette, or composition you want to keep, add it — the result is built around it. You can add several at once when different qualities matter in different images: one for color, another for framing, a third for the kind of subject you're after. Generate the image

Click Generate. The app applies your references, if you added any, and returns the finished image.

Apps share a monthly pool of 5 free generations on the Free plan — once it's used, each run costs credits, with the exact cost shown on the Generate button.

Save or download the result

Download the image, or save it to your Workroom library, where it stays available to the other apps — upscale it for print, remove its background for a layout, or bring it into a video without exporting and re-uploading.

What the app filters out

Brand marks, logos, and readable signage are the usual reasons an AI image gets rejected for commercial work. Stock Image Generator is built to keep all three out during generation, rather than leaving you to retouch them out afterwards.

That covers trademarks and brand names, logos on clothing, packaging, and props, and the garbled lettering that turns up on signs, screens, and labels.

The generated images carry no model releases and no stock-library restrictions — each one is made from scratch. Commercial rights inside Workroom come with the Pro plan; Free and Starter cover personal and UGC use.

Troubleshooting

A logo or some text still appeared

Filtering happens before generation and catches most cases, but it isn't an absolute guarantee. Generate again, or name the offending element in your prompt and ask for it to be left out.

The result doesn't look like my reference

References guide the look — subject, palette, mood, composition — rather than reproducing the photo. Faces and subjects are recreated, not copied, which is what keeps the output usable commercially.

The image looks generic

Add one concrete detail to the scene: what the subject is holding, the time of day, the kind of room. The prompt enhancer fills in the photography, not the specifics of your idea.
