WAN 2.2: Image Prompt

Updated April 23, 2026See Picture Lab app →

Image Prompt is a unique WAN 2.2 feature in Picture Lab's AI image generator. You select an image, and Workroom analyzes it and fills the prompt field with a description. Edit that prompt to generate a new image that closely resembles the original — same composition, mood, and style.

When an image is set as Image Prompt, the aspect ratio is locked automatically — it's taken from the reference image so the output matches its proportions.

Select WAN 2.2

Switch to WAN 2.2 from the model selector. The prompt bar shows Image Prompt alongside LoRa Library, a quality selector, and the ratio selector.

Set the Image Prompt

Click Image Prompt to open the panel. Browse your previous generations across All, Favorites, and Uploaded tabs, then click an image to select it. To use an external image, click Upload.

Once selected, Workroom automatically generates a text description of the image and adds it to the prompt field.

Edit the prompt and generate

Review the auto-generated prompt and adjust it as needed — you can add, remove, or rephrase anything. The more specific your edits, the more the output will differ from the original reference.

Click Generate to produce results.

To replicate the image as closely as possible, leave the auto-generated prompt untouched. To introduce changes — different lighting, a new background, altered clothing — edit only the parts you want to change.
The aspect ratio is locked while Image Prompt is active — it's set automatically from the reference image and cannot be changed manually.
